What's hot and new at Big White Ski Resort For 2012/13

From wine and ski packages to a private ski day with a champion,  Big White tempts skiers this winter season 

KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA – It’s all about the skiing, savouring, and sipping this year at Big White Ski Resort. Ultimate Family Winter Vacation
Big White will take care of everything from the time they pick you up from the airport. Tickets for ski passes, skating, tubing, dog sledding, a horse drawn sleigh ride and the ice tower will be in your room waiting. Spa visits will be booked for mum and dad, and the ski pros will pick up and return your kids for their ½ day lessons. Dinner at Kettle Valley Steakhouse will be booked while the kids are at the Kids Centre for a movie and climbing wall event. Rates start at $6118 for a family of four including the above on a 6-night stay in a Stonebridge 2 bedroom executive suite, and a 6-day ski pass for everyone.

Sip Your Way through the Okanagan
Either by bus or by helicopter explore the wineries of the Okanagan Valley on a day tour into the vineyards. Pick up is at Big White where guests will be whisked off to visit the award winning Cedar Creek, Summerhill and Calona Wineries. Prices start at $109 per person, and heli-tours are $2500 for up to 4ppl and include transportation, winery tour and tastings.

Big Reds at Big White 5th Annual Red Wine Festival
Big White Ski Resort, uniquely situated in the heart of wine country, will be pouring the Big Reds this year during the fifth annual “Big Reds at Big White” December 8, 2012. The eagerly awaited event celebrates the release of the red wines from the British Columbia Okanagan region. Featuring the newest releases of the Bordeaux-style wines for the area, guests will be treated with wines from over 30 award-winning local wineries including Ex Nihilo, La Frenz, and Road 13 to name just a few.

VIP Treatment
February through March, enthusiastic skiers wanting some VIP action can enjoy Big White VIP program. The program offers exclusive use of the ‘Bullet or Black Forest Chair’ for one-hour first thing in the morning. Specially priced at $450 for an adult, $69 for second person, max 2ppl: this includes a one-hour private lesson on the empty slopes, lift pass for the day, and hot coffee to warm you up.

Live Like A King At Big White
This is a dream luxury ski vacation set in a 10,000 square-foot mountain log castle – The White Spirit Lodge. Complete with welcome reception, continental breakfasts every day, a catered dinner with wine pairings, ski passes for 4-days, a lesson with a Level 4 Ski Instructor and another dinner at the Kettle Valley Steak House. Pricing starts at $24,445 for 6ppl for 5-nights.

Private Ski Day with a Canadian Champion
Spend a day or weekend in one-on-one training on the slopes with a pro. For the past 8 years, Edith Rozsa has traveled the globe showcasing winter resorts as the host of Ski Television. Prior to that, she raced on the Canadian Alpine Ski Team and was Canada's best Slalom & Giant Slalom skier. Some of her accolades include: 9 time North American Slalom & Giant Slalom Champion, 4 time Canadian National Slalom and Giant Slalom Champion. Price is $700 for the day inclusive of lunch.

Downhill Dudes
Get the guys together for a boy’s 3-day weekend at Big White. Take a 2-day Edge Camp for specifically for men, a 3-hour snowmobile tour in Big White’s backcountry, a scotch tasting with cigars at the backcountry hut complete with a steak BBQ, Dizzy’s boot fitting for the perfect fitting ski boot and a trip down to Kelowna in a limo for a Kelowna Rockets Hockey Game. Rates start at $5926 for four people inclusive of the above on a three-night stay in a 2-bedroom suite.
